The results of the local elections from some parts of Moldova reach the Central Election Commission with difficulty due to power outages caused by strong winds, Info-Prim Neo reports. CEC Chairman Iurie Ciocan told a news conference that the districts experiencing outages included Floresti, Soroca, Edinet, Singerei and others. Iurie Ciocan said repair squads were deployed to the scenes and electricity would be restored shortly. In four electoral bureaus, two in Floresti and two in Soroca, ballots are being counted by candlelight, in the presence of observers and representatives of electoral contenders.
