The observers of Promo-LEX Association discovered a number of irregularities in the voting process until 12.00. They included mainly the late opening of the polling places, insufficiency of ballots, campaigning and mistakes in documents, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communiqué, the organization says that at least nine polling places opened with a delay of 15 minutes. Some of the electoral offices did not yet have the registers of voters at 7.00. Minimum nine electoral districts experienced shortages of ballots. In many polling places, there were no curtains around the polling booths. The members of the electoral offices took them away following the recommendation made by the central electoral authority. The ballots in Oclanda village of Soroca district contained printing mistakes. Apolitical party was written incorrectly in the ballot. The member of the electoral office corrected the mistake with the pen. At polling place No. 3 in Taraclia, the ballots did not include the name of an election runner. Alcoholic drinks were sold not far from polling places in a number of settlements and there was no electric power at minimum four polling places. Promo-LEX monitors the electoral process within the Civic Coalition for Free and Fair Elections. 2,500 observers were deployed to oversee the elections all over the country.
