Gheorghe Gorincioi on Thursday, March 3, has tendered his resignation as Chairman of the Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC), saying he reached retirement age, Info-Prim Neo reports. The resignation was accepted with the vote of 5 BCC members. Carmelia Albu abstained, explaining she could not accept the resignation of a person who she put forward as a candidate for BCC chairmanship in 2007. The only candidate proposed to replace Gheorghe Gorincioi is Marian Pocaznoi. [update 11:45] Marian Pocaznoi has been appointed BCC chair by 5 out of 8 votes.
