Cabinet endorses State Chancellery reform

The Cabinet approved changes to the regulations concerning the organization and functioning of the State Chancellery. The institution’s apparatus will be optimized and this will become a Center of the Government, IPN reports.

“The optimization of the personnel will take place simultaneously with the modification of business processes at the State Chancellery, implementation of the electronic circuit of documents and exclusion of function doubling. We will have more efficient administration,” said the Government’s secretary general Lilia Palii.

Prime Minister Pavel Filip said the State Chancellery reform is the first step that must be taken in the public administration reform. “When we speak about the central public administration reform or the Government reform, we must have this efficient instrument available,” he stated.

In the same meeting, the Cabinet approved a bill to amend and supplement the Law on the Pay System for Public Servants in a move to improve the remuneration and motivation mechanism and to enable the public administration managers to motivate servants in accordance with the progress made at work.
