The Political Party “The Right” and the National Unity Bloc that consists of over 20 civic entities sent an open letter to President Nicolae Timofti by which they ask him to declare Moldova’s union with Moldova as the only chance of returning to normality, IPN reports.

“We call on you to immediately open a dialogue with the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis with a view to working out a strategic plan for reunifying the two Romanian states, by specifying the concrete actions related to the reunification of the armies, abolition of the current borders between brothers, application of the Romanian legislation, without exception, on the whole territory of the reunited Romanian nation,” said the leader of “The Right” Ana Gutu, who presented the letter in a news conference.

The signatories of the letter say that by declaring the union, the head of state will go down in history as a great statesman. “We are sure that you have the courage and will to make this gesture,” reads the letter.

The signatories thank Nicolae Timofti for not allowing formalizing a monstrous coalition in Parliament, which would have brought to power the descendants of yesterday’s Communists who maltreated the Romanian nation and deported our grandparents to Siberia.
