The candidate for premiership Ion Sturza intends to pay a visit to the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia by the end of this year. He also plans to have a series of meetings with representatives of civil society and professional associations, IPN reports.

“Gagauzia for me is a soul theme because I had relations with very good people from this region. I would like members of the Gagauz ethnic community to be present in the Government and I have several candidates whom I intend to field. It is important to pursue an inclusive policy,” stated Sturza.

The candidate also intends to meet with the mayors of Chisinau and Balti. “I want to see what economic, social and infrastructure problems are faced in Balti. We cannot ignore the second largest city of Moldova and let it be blown by the political winds,” said Ion Sturza.

The candidate’s schedule also includes meetings with representatives of professional associations. “I want to have an open and transparent discussion, possibly off the record, with representatives of the financial--banking community who I think share my concerns,” he noted.

In the afternoon of December 24, Ion Sturza will have a meeting with representatives of civil society.
