If President Igor Dodon rejects for a second time the candidates proposed by the governing coalition in the recent Cabinet reshuffle, the Constitutional Court’s opinion will be sought again to advise on the proper course of action, Speaker Andrian Candu told reporters.
PM Pavel Filip will propose the candidates once more to the president without any change, said the speaker.
On Thursday Igor Dodon signed the decrees to see the departing members out of the Cabinet, but he refused to accept the incoming ones. The president argued that it’s Parliament’s prerogative to propose a Cabinet reshuffle, not the Democratic Party’s. He also claimed some appointees had integrity issues.
