Ion Cebanu was named director general of the Forestry Agency “Moldsilva” by a Government decision on September 9, IPN reports.

Born in 1984, Cebanu held earlier this post for a short period of time. He replaced Ion Lupu starting with February 2013, after the latter resigned following the hunting incident in the reserve “Padurea Domneasca” (“Domneasca Forest”).

Shortly after his appointment, Cebanu was yet dismissed. However, the Constitutional Court ruled that the dismissal decision was unconstitutional and Cebanu was reinstated. In June yet, Ion Cebanu decided to leave, arguing that he is a team person and goes to work with his team. The period coincided with the formation of the Pro-European Coalition and the removal of the Liberal Party, of which Cebanu is a member, from power.

Also today, the Cabinet dismissed Ion Crudu from the post of state secretary of the Ministry of the Environment based on his resignation.
