Chisinau's Christmas Tree might come from Orhei
The Green Spaces workers will go today to Orhei to see a fir for sale that according to its owner is 30 meters high. If the height is confirmed and a price agreed, the fir will become the Christmas Tree in the center of the capital.
Eliferii Haruta, head of the Green Spaces Association, told Info-Prim Neo that the alternative is a fir from Glodeni, more than 20 meters high, at sale for 12,000 lei. The tree has an age of 45 years.
The Christmas Tree will be brought in the Great National Assembly Square on Monday, November 26. The winter holidays will officially begin on December 1.
Last year, the Christmas Tree came from Bozieni village, Hancesti district, and cost 11,000 lei. It was 24-25 meters high and reached 26 with the support.
