CNPM supports farmers’ actions
The National Employers’ Confederation (CNPM) declares total and unconditional support for the actions taken by the agricultural producers for the promotion of favorable and stimulatory conditions for Moldova’s agriculture, reports Info-Prim Neo, quoting a statement by the Confederation.
The CNPM administration board expresses its concern regarding the unfavorable situation created within the business sector, which is a consequence of the budgetary-fiscal policy for years 2012 and 2013.
“The reluctance manifested during the consulting and policy adoption period towards the proposals given by enterprises and their representative organizations denotes disrespect towards the principles of a civilized dialogue based on a participative democracy”, says the Confederation’s statement.
In such conditions, when requests, opinions and proposals are being neglected, the executive and legislative authority assumes complete responsibility for the effects and consequences, including those organized by the agrarian sector on July 31, when several farmers went out to protest.
Several farmers took their agricultural machinery out on the streets, to protest against the budgetary-fiscal policy that was adopted by the Government. They have declared that they will organize larger scale protests if the authorities keep turning a blind eye on them, and may even take their tractors to the Government building footsteps.
