Communist activists picket Parliament

Activists of the Communist Party (PCRM) Friday picketed the Palace of the Republic, where the sittings of the legislative body take place, demanding that the ruling alliance resign. The protesters said they are sick and tired of the difficult life, the high prices and the political crisis. The Communist leader Vladimir Voronin, the head of the Communist parliamentary group Maria Postoiko and other members of the party joined the protesters, who chanted “Down with the Alliance”, Info-Prim Neo reports. The PCRM accused the government of irresponsibility, chaos and disorder. “We are tired of such life. We survive, not live. The members of the ruling alliance argue between them and do nothing for the people,” said a protester. Another protester complained about the municipal policy pursued by the Liberal mayor Dorin Chirtoaca. “Why should we pay for the water that is wasted? Chirtoaca is not right. Doesn’t he know what pensions the people have? We consider they should all resign,” said the woman. “We can no longer endure. We lived better when the country was ruled by the Communists. We did not experience shortages then,” said another protester. The event involved about 200 persons who carried the symbols of the PCRM.
