Communist Petrenko is ‘a liar’, while oligarchs from PCRM open ‘doors with surprises’, Vlad Plahotniuc
The first deputy chairman of the Democratic Party (PDM) Vlad Plahotniuc said the reported dismissal of Culture Minister Boris Focsa, who was delegated by the PDM to work on the Government, is ‘nothing else but a rumor’. He urged the heavyweights of the Communist Party (PCRM), who make accusations of oligarchization of the political sphere, not to open certain doors as they can find behind them ‘unpleasant surprises’ concerning the assessment of the real property of some oligarchs from the PCRM. He also denied the accusation that he was wanted by international law enforcement bodies. Vlad Plahotniuc made related statements in an interview published today in the newspaper “Timpul”, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
Speaking about the more insistent discussions about the discharge of Culture Minister Boris Focsa in connection with the awaited Cabinet reshuffles that the PDM may suggest, Vlad Plahotniuc assured that the rumors about Fosca’s dismissal are only rumors and nothing else. No decision in this respect was taken in the party and the collective forum that decides such matters hasn’t been convened. He said that the PDM is finishing the process of assessing the party’s participation in governance and decisions will be taken according to the conclusions when time comes.
Vlad Plahotniuc refuted the accusations regarding the oligarchization of the political sphere made against him by heavyweights of the PCRM, suggesting that they may have ‘unpleasant surprises’. “It’s hard to believe that somebody from the PCRM may at least pronounce the word ‘oligarchization’ or speak about money. This would mean opening a door behind which I’m sure there are unpleasant surprises for them. Let’s be serious. The PCRM is not a party with poor members. They represent the poor people and speak about poverty only by demagogical rhetoric,” he said.
He also denied the accusations of Communist MP Grigore Petrenco, who said that he was wanted by Interpol Italy. “My answer is categorical: Petrenko is a notorious liar. But this time, that who made him say this mocked him as when he told this lie I was in Italy on an official visit and met with representatives of the country’s administration there,” Vlad Plahotniuc stated for ”Timpul”.
