The Communist group withdrew from the May 19 sitting of the legislature in protest at the parliamentary majority's refusal to include at least one of their proposals in the agenda, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Communist lawmakers proposed inviting Minister of Education Mihail Shleahtitski to the sitting to provide explanations over the plan aimed at optimizing the education institutions. The PCRM claims this plan envisions the closing of dozens of national schools.
The Communists said none of the social initiatives proposed by them during the last few months was supported by the parliamentary majority.
Fifty lawmakers remained in the hall after the Communist group left. The sitting could not go on as the quorum was not present. The government coalition took a break to find at least one more MP so as to continue the meeting.
