Communists put forward censure motion against Leanca Government

The Communist MPs submitted a censure motion against the Government headed by Iurie Leanca. They accused the executive of trying to dispossess the state of Banca de Economii and the Chisinau International Airport. According to the Communists, the current Cabinet does not differ from the Filat Government that was dismissed for acts of corruption.

“The Government and the people live in two parallel worlds. They come closer only during the elections,” said Communist lawmaker Galina Balmos. She added that the current Government betrays the national interests. When invited to the hearings held in Parliament, the ministers and the Premier sent their inferiors.

The Communist MPs consider that the Government must be dismissed. The Communist sympathizers who protested in front of the Palace of the Republic expressed the same opinion. They demanded early elections and the resignation of the government coalition, expressing their indignation at the fact that the content of the Association Agreement that is to be initialed at the Vilnius EaP Summit hasn’t been made public.

The censure motion was distributed to the lawmakers and the members of the Cabinet and is to be examined in the first sitting of Parliament next week. It was signed by 27 Communist MPs.
