The Communist parliamentary group announced that they will dispute the May 30 vote for the Head of Parliament in the Constitutional Court. Communist MP Grigore Petrenko said the ballots had been marked, IPN reports.

According to the Communist lawmakers, the principle of secret voting was violated in the election of the Speaker. The MPs of the PLDM, PDM and PL folded the ballots in a certain way so as to be later able to prove their vote.

Igor Corman was elected Speaker by the votes of 58 lawmakers.
