Constitutional Court belongs to Filat, Ghimpu and Lupu, PCRM

Moldova no longer has a Constitutional Court as it belongs to the leaders of ruling alliance - Vlad Filat, Mihai Ghimpu and Marian Lupu, the executive secretary of the Communist Party (PCRM) Iurie Muntean said in a news conference held in the evening of January 12, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We have all the documents needed to field Leonid Talmaci for President, but the procedure was interrupted unexpectedly. The Constitutional Court’s decision showed that the AEI is afraid that Leonid Talmaci may be elected head of state and got into a panic,” said Iurie Muntean. He also said that the usurpation of power witnessed in Moldova during the last three years entered the phase of a coup. “We will demand holding accountable the person who created such a situation. This is Marian Lupu,” he stated. According to the PCRM’s executive secretary, the Constitutional Court ceased being a democratic intuition and became a member of the Alliance for European Integration. “Moldova does not have a Constitutional Court anymore. Ghimpu, Lupu and Filat control it simultaneously or separately,” said Iurie Muntean. He stressed that the leader of the PCRM Vladimir Voronin will speak about the further actions of the Communists in a news conference on January 16, at 1pm. The Constitutional Court declared the December 16 presidential elections unconstitutional because the secrecy of the vote was infringed. Thus, the January 15 elections will not take place.
