Constitutional Court confirms 12 new MPs in posts
The Constitutional Court validated the seats of the 12 new lawmakers who entered Parliament as substitute candidates, Speaker Marian Lupu announced in Thursday's siting of the legislative body, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
The 12 lawmakers already occupied their seats in Parliament and were congratulated by their new colleagues.
The 12 new MPs are Elena Frumosu, Iurie Apostolachi, Simion Grisciuc, Victor Bodiu, Maria Nasu, and Iurie Chiorescu, of the PLDM; Stella Jantuan, Valentina Stratan, Gheorghe Brashovski, and Oleg Sarbu, of the PDM; Valeriu Saharneanu, of the PL, and Ghenadie Morcov, of the PCRM.
The new lawmakers substituted the MPs who chose to hold posts in the Government or other institutions that are incompatible with the seat in Parliament.
