Mihai Ghimpu said the decision confirmed again that the Parliament is the supreme legislative body in Moldova. Asked if they discussed the rise in gas prices, Mihai Ghimpu said the subject wasn’t in the agenda of the meeting and the import price of the Russia gas is set in accordance with the agreement signed with Gazprom when Vladimir Voronin was head of state. The Russian Ambassador commenced discussions with the Moldovan parties in January. So far, he has met with the leaders of the PLDM, PDM, PCRM and of the extraparliamentary party PSD. “We hold political discussions and exchange opinions. This is a valuable thing for us,” he stated.
