The Constitutional Court seriously violated once again the constitutional norms, the Party of Socialists (PSRM) said, commenting on the Court’s decision to suspend President Igor Dodon for refusing to promulgate five laws after these were readopted by Parliament. The PSRM said the Constitutional Court is a branch of the Democratic Party, IPN reports.
In a statement, the PSRM noted the party categorically opposes the most recent violation of the Constitutional of the Republic of Moldova by the ruling regime. The Court undermines the credibility of the country’s fundamental law by another attempt to sell the legislation in the very narrow political interests of the PDM.
“Such scandalous laws as those that limit the media space and institute censorship, rename the great Victory Day, transfer t state property by hidden agreements, without having public discussions, are unacceptable. The larges part of Moldova’s population, 70-80%, is categorically against the imposed laws and this confirms once against the falseness of the “pro-Moldova” statements. In this case, it is not a pro-Moldova position of the Democratic Party,” says the statement.
The Constitutional Court pronounced on December 10 following a requisition filed by Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu and Democratic MP Sergiu Sârbu. As a result, the Speaker or the Premier will issue the decree to promulgate the five invoked laws.
