A married couple from Durlesti town was killed by unidentified persons on July 16 in the afternoon, Chisinau Ambulance Service coordinating doctor Eufalia Negreata has told Info-Prim Neo. The ambulance was called by their son who found them dead. The man and woman aged 50 and 55 were tortured with the iron and then strangled with its cable. An investigation is under way. The same day, a 39-year-old man died after suffering an epileptic fit, while a man aged 54 died of hepatic failure. A man, 53, suffered carbon monoxide poisoning in a fire caused by a short circuit in an apartment on Albisoara St. He was rushed to Saint Trinity Hospital. A worker, 37, fell from a height of about three meters at a building site on Nicolae Testemitanu St. He sustained a cranial-cerebral trauma and a contusion and was taken to the Emergency Hospital. A 30-year-old man took at least 100 pills in order to kill himself. He was found by his relatives when he went into a coma. He is now in the toxicology section of Saint Trinity Hospital. Two persons who got poisoned by mushrooms were admitted to the same section. Yesterday and last night, 762 Chisinau residents sought help from the ambulance doctors.
