All criminal and contravention cases will be available on a digital platform, which will facilitate the exchange of information between authorities and automate legal and administrative processes. The Cabinet approved a draft that provides for the implementation of the “e-Dossier" information system, IPN reports.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs said that the digital system will contribute to significantly reducing the flow of documents drawn up on paper. Thus, the process will be digitized, the file processing time will be reduced and the activities carried out manually will be replaced by the use of modern technologies.
Through the "e-Dossier" system, the execution of adopted decisions, crime and accident statistics, as well as other relevant information for the criminal investigation bodies, ascertaining agents and case examination authorities will be monitored. At the same time, the new system will permit access to all information in real time, increasing transparency in case management.
"When the system is implemented end-to-end, corruption will also be reduced, especially as regards the impossibility of substituting evidence in criminal cases. This is very pertinent," stressed Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
