The deputy chairman of the Coalition for Unity and Welfare Party (CUB) Ion Bulgac, in a post on social media on Monday evening, announced his decision to leave the party, IPN reports.

"I thank from the bottom of my heart for this experience all my mates with whom I worked side by side during this period, but also all those who supported me in the not easy path I chose", said Ion Bulgac.

Ion Bulgac is one of the founders of the political party Coalition for Unity and Welfare. Since January 2023, he had led the youth organization CUB Junior, and since June 2023 he also had served as deputy chairman of the party. In the local elections of autumn 2023, he ran on behalf of the CUB for the position of l mayor generaof Chisinau municipality and won 0.71% of the vote.

Bulgac did not specify whether he is withdrawing from politics or intends to join another party.
