The tents put up by the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth” in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau to protest against the government were taken away as a result of a court decision. The Supreme Court of Justice upheld the decisions of the ordinary court of law and the appeals court, which ordered to free the square.

Liviu Vovc, one of the leaders of the Civic Platform, confirmed for IPN that the Dignity Town is no longer in the Great National Assembly Square. He said that after they will have consultations with lawyers, they will give a news conference at 10am on August 13 to present the Platform’s position and the further actions.

The Chisinau City Hall went to court and demanded that the Dignity Town should be taken away because the works to repair Stefan cel Mare Blvd and the Great National Assembly Square are hampered.
