Director of Drochia Center of Preventive Medicine to be dismissed

The director of the Drochia Center of Preventive Medicine is not competent and will be discharged. The decision was made at the suggestion of the Health Ministry's commission that investigated the circumstances of the second pandemic flu death in Moldova. It was a 35-year-old man, who died in hospital on November 2, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The chief doctor is incompetent. He could not say how many cases of viral infections were recorded in the district,” Minister of Health Vladimir Hotineanu said Friday at the meeting of the national anti-epidemic commission. According to the minister, the chief doctor organized no event, no seminar and formulated no plan of action for preventing the flu. The National Scientific Practical Center of Preventive Medicine said 113 persons got infected with pandemic flu in Moldova by Friday morning. Two men aged 50 and, respectively, 35 have died.
