Dodon to government: Leave or you will be removed with pitchforks!

The leader of the Party of Socialists harshly criticized the current rulers, calling on them to leave or they could be taken away with pitchforks. The criticism leveled by Igor Dodon while delivering a speech in Parliament covered a wide range of issues, from the economic situation up to the freedom of the media, IPN reports.

“It’s time to leave … Otherwise you will be removed with pitchforks. Now the people ask only for resignations, criminal cases and long jail terms, but tomorrow they will act like Stephan the Great, who impaled,” warned Dodon.

The head of the largest parliamentary group quoted data according to which 87% of the population considers that the country follows a wrong path, while 70% are ready to protest and to even violate the law when protesting.

Igor Dodon also criticized the competence of the administration, saying two thirds of the ministers are not specialized in the areas of which they are in charge. The rulers were also accused of being, in particular, unionists, corrupt and criminals. “The six years in power represent a nonstop crime committed by you!” he stated.

In an ‘indictment’ speech given in the name of the people in the October 15 sitting of the legislature, Igor Dodon accused the government of capturing the state, of betraying the country, of committing large-scale thefts, of suppressing the critical voices, making reference to the arrest of activist Grigore Petrenco, and even of murders, referring to the death of an MP who criticized the ‘ruling bandits’.

At the end of his speech, the Socialists’ leader declaimed “Down with the corrupt Alliance! Down with the ruling thieves! Early elections!  Your political life will be short, while the imprisonment term will be long.”
