Dozens of young people, including public figures, danced in the Great National Assembly Square in order to mobilize the people to vote. The young persons formed the symbol “+1 Vote”, trying thus to convey the message that every vote counts, Info-Prim Neo reports. About 200 persons announced their participation in the event, but only several dozens came. “We are sure that a part of the young persons who had to be here are at polling places, while those who did not yet manage to vote still have time to do it,” said event organizer, blogger Tudor Darie. Singer Costi Burlacu said he came to support the energetic young persons, who encourage the people to vote. “I came because I’m young and have a future ahead of me. I care about the future and do not want somebody else to vote instead of me. By dance, we want to motivate other young persons to vote,” said the singer. Nata Albot, of Jurnal TV, said she is impressed by such activities. “I like the events that unite the people by dance, music and any other kind of art. I like the activities that make the Moldovans less inhibited and this event is one of them,” she said, expressing her regret at the fact that the event was organized on the last 100 meters and many people did not know about it. Cornel Baran, a young man suffering from locomotor disability, said he came together with his friends who are confined to wheelchairs. “We came to tell the people that they should cast their ballots as every vote matters,” said the young man. Choreographer of the dance club Just Friends Dance Academy Igor Munteanu said he was delighted by this idea and accepted to become involved. “I adjusted the movements and steps of the dance so that everyone is able to move together with us and feel fine,” he said. “+1 Vote” is a civic, politically unaffiliated campaign initiated by a group of bloggers through socialization networks.
