The Party of Socialists (PSRM) announced that three parliamentary commissions endorsed the draft decisions concerning the dismissal of the prosecutor general, the members of the Central Election Commission and the Broadcasting Coordination Council and of the heads of the National Anticorruption Center, the Security and Information Service and the National Bank that they put forward. However, the head of the Parliament’s Communication Division Svetlana Ursu has told IPN that the draft decisions hadn’t been introduced in the legislative procedure and thus couldn’t have been examined.
Contacted by IPN, member of the Party of Socialists Ion Ceban said the three commissions that approved the draft decisions are the commission on agriculture and food industry, the commission on human rights and internment relations, and the commission on public administration, regional development and climate change. According to Ceban, the commission on culture, education, research, youth, sport and mass media endorsed only the draft decision regarding the dismissal of the prosecutor general.
In a communique, the PSRM says these initiatives will be promoted for being examined and voted in the next sitting of Parliament.
Svetlana Ursu said yet that in its admissibility appraisal of the given draft decisions, the Legal Division of the Parliament’s Secretariat says that these do not meet the constitutional and legal requirements for being introduced in legislative procedure.
