Early elections were to take place on November 3, PCRM

Communist MPs made disclosures about the negotiations held by them with the PLDM and PDM. Under the reached agreements, early parliamentary elections were to take place on November 3, lawmaker Artur Reshetnikov said in a news conference on June 3, IPN reports.

According to Artur Reshetnikov, the PCRM agreed with the PLDM and PDM to sign a joint statement on early elections and then every party was to make public their decisions. Reshetnikov said he was assured by the administration of the two parties that the vote for the Leanca Government was a formal procedure as early legislative elections can be called only after the executive is not voted in by two attempts.

The leader of the PCRM Vladimir Voronin told the same news conference that negotiations were held up to the last moment. “Both of the parties had been for early elections up to the end,” he stated.

The Communist leader believes that the PDM and PLDM gave up in the last moment because they are not independent, being controlled by foreign ‘puppeteers’ that are involved in much more serious geopolitical games. “The current government in Moldova appeared without a plan to change the state of affairs in the county, without taking into account the state interests and voters’ interests. Such a criminal government is a huge threat to the country’s stability, the people and regional security in general,” said Vladimir Voronin.

The Leanca Government was voted in by 58 MPs on May 30. The Communist lawmakers didn’t take part in the voting.
