The Easter Fair is on the last one hundred meters. The Christians make the last purchases for Easter even if the prices are rather high, Info-Prim Neo reports. A buyer said that she needs accessories for the Easter meal, which are indispensable for creating a special atmosphere. “I want the food to be tasty and to meet the Christian traditions. I bought Easter bunnies and decorative eggs for my granddaughter and pound cakes. The prices are exaggerated. There are no significant discounts on Easter, but we buy what we can afford,” said the woman. “Wishing health to each other is the most important present on Easter as health is the most precious thing. We usually knock eggs against each other and give a slice of pound cake. But a warm hug from the dear ones is more valuable,” said another woman who came to the fair. The sellers said the people buy less than the previous years. The pound cakes are in great demand. “The pond cakes weigh from 100 grams to 1 kilogram and a half. The cake with cheese is very popular as it is blessed on Easter night. The cakes cost between 13 and 130 lei apiece,” said a seller. Organized by the Chisinau City Hall, the Easter Fair was staged on Pushkin St between April 11 and 14. A number of 103 companies exhibited their products at the fair this year.
