Election contenders’ expenses at over 16m lei
The Democratic Party and the Communists Party remain the election contenders that spent the largest sums on the election campaign. Their financial reports submitted to the Central Election Commission (CEC) show they spent about 6 million lei and, respectively, over 3 million lei so far, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Moldova Noastra Alliance, the European Action Movement, the Liberal Party and the Humanist Party have spent over one million lei in the election campaign. The Social Political Movement of the Roma spent only 100 lei, while the report presented by the Moldova’s Patriots Party shows zero incomes and zero expenses.
The first 17 parties and independent candidates registered as participants in the elections have spent together over 16 million lei. The financial reports are lodged with the CEC once in two weeks. In the current campaign, the parties are allowed to spend up to 21.6 million lei, while the independents up to 2.16 million lei.
