Attending the roundtable meeting, first vice governor of the National Bank of Moldova Marin Molosag said the central bank suggests two solutions, including modifying the procedure for evaluating assets so that the banks could have a higher lending margin. Another solution is to increase the ceiling for loans without pledge for private individuals from 30,000 to 100,000 lei and for legal entities from 100,000 to 500,000 lei. This will allow the potential debtors to take out loans without pledge and the banks not to create risk funds for these loans. This will also have a positive impact on the interest rates.
