The European Union mission finished the assessment in Block 2 of the Moldova – EU Plan of Action on the Liberalization of the Visa Regime, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. As a result of this assessment, the European Commission will prepare the second progress report. The European Union mission examined how Moldova fulfilled the conditions laid down in the plan’s Block 2 “Illegal Migration, Including Readmission. In particular, there were analyzed the two key areas – migration management, asylum policy and border management. Experts of the European Commission and from EU member states took stock of the steps taken and reforms made in the given areas, in concert with the national institutions.
