The public association “Moldova Mea” (“My Moldova”) addressed a letter to the Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Dirk Schuebel, whereby he asked the European Union to give Moldova pure-bred nanny goats for the Moldovan zoophiles, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Given the European Parliament’s obsession with the sexual minorities in Moldova, we must say that we monitored the life led by persons with nontraditional sexual orientation in Moldova and established that the zoophiles are the most discriminated as they receive no assistance. These people are very unhappy and deeply wronged,” the association’s head Fiodor Ghelici said in a news conference. He also said that the persons have sexual intercourse with animals because a large number of women went abroad, leaving their husbands at home to look after the house. “These men do not have enough sex and thus are nervous, get drunk and can become impotent. But the central authorities do not deal with this problem,” said Fiodor Ghelici. According to him, Dirk Schuebel unjustifiably avoided speaking about zoophiles when he demanded that Moldova should adopt the Antidiscrimination Law that includes a chapter about sexual minorities. Igor Caldare, a member of the Association “Moldova Mea”, said that the zoophiles are the most discriminated among the sexual minorities. “After its adoption, this law will benefit not 50% of the population, as Dirk Schuebel said, but only 4% - 1% of those who were born with non-traditional sexual orientation and 3% of those who acquired it over time,” he stated. Passing the Antidiscrimination Law is a condition imposed by the EU in the talks on visa liberalization. Representatives of the Church staged protests, demanding not adopting such a law. The bill is now at the Government.
