The National Public Health Center reported the first case of seasonal flu this year. The seasonal flu virus B was detected in a man aged 59 from Rezina town, IPN reports, quoting a communique of the institution.

The man fell sick suddenly on January 9, having symptoms of the disease, including fever of 37.6 degrees Celsius, asthenia, myalgia, headaches, cough, expectoration, rhinitis and pharyngitis. The man wasn’t vaccinated. He is now out of hospital. His state of health was average when the tests were performed.

Specialists recommend the population to take prophylaxis measures. It is recommended eating fruit and vegetables that contain vitamin C (lime, blackberry, currant) as well as garlic and onion, and leading a healthy lifestyle, without cigarettes and alcohol.
