Two young men aged 23 and 24, one of whom a former policeman, are accused of rape and swindle, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Prosecutor General's Office. This July, one of the defendants, who was then an employee of the Ministry of the Interior, together with a friend of his stopped a 20-year-old man and told him he is suspected of committing an offense. They asked money from him for resolving the case. The man gave them 1,500 lei and told them his phone number. When the two called the man, the phone was answered by his girlfriend. They told her that they were police officers and that her boyfriend was arrested. In order to help him, the girl went to the agreed place, but instead of accompanying her to the police station, the two took her to a wood and raped her. They did not stop even when the girl told them she was pregnant.
