Four Moldovan ambassadors will hold offices in several countries simultaneously. A decision to this effect was taken in the March 12 meeting of the Government, IPN reports.
Ambassador to Italy Stela Stangaci will serve as head of the Moldovan diplomatic mission to Malta and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, with residence in Rome.
Ambassador to Russia, with residence in Moscow, Andrei Galbur will also work as Ambassador to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
Ambassador to Turkey, with residence in Ankara, Igor Bolboceanu was named as Ambassador to Lebanon and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Ambassador to Greece Valentin Ciumac will also hold office as Ambassador to Cyprus, with residence in Athens.
Prime Minister Iurie Leanca underlined that all the ambassadors of Moldova should be very careful when they make statements for the press. “We urge the ambassadors not to make personal interpretations and present them as official,” he stated, asking that the ambassadors should not be politically affiliated and should do their duty strictly in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
