Parliament passed the censure motion against the Government by 54 votes in favor. Within three days, Prime Minister Vlad Filat must tender the Cabinet’s resignation, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Democrats and the Communists said such a Government can no longer exist. The Democrats specified that the vote of no confidence is given especially to Vlad Filat, not the ministers. The Liberals didn’t take part in the voting.
President Nicolae Timofti is to hold consultations with the parliamentary groups to identify a new candidate for the post of Prime Minister.
If the MPs do not give a vote of confidence to the new Government by two attempts, the head of state will dissolve Parliament and there will be called early legislative elections.
