His Holiness Vladimir calls on people to take part in elections

The Metropolitan Bishop of Chisinau and all Moldova, His Holiness Vladimir made an appeal to the people, calling on them to be responsible and to exercise their right to vote on November 30, IPN reports.

“The parliamentary elections are close and those who will decide Moldova’s fate over the next four years in virtue of the confidence put in them will be elected by the people’s will in these elections. Thus, each of us has not only the right, but also the duty to choose representatives in the country’s legislative body,” says the appeal published on the website of the Metropolitan Church.

His Holiness Vladimir says that everyone must realize that the elections are an authentic civic responsibility exercise where everyone has the legal power to take part in deciding the country’s development course.

“We should not forget that freedom means first of all responsibility as not only our future, but also the future of our successors and our close people depend on our choice. That’s why we should pray to God for wisdom and vote, thinking not only about the accumulation of worldly things, but also about the everlastingness of the soul,” reads the message.

The Metropolitan Bishop calls on everyone to go to the polls on November 30 and to contribute to building a bright future, especially for developing and promoting the undying values of Orthodoxy not only for us, but also for the successors of our successors.
