I don’t think there will be dismissals in Parliament today, analyst

“I don’t think there will be dismissals in Parliament today. Only if the prosecutor general was convinced to tender his resignation,” political analyst Arcadie Barbarosie, director of the Public Policy Institute, said in a news conference on October 20, Info-Prim Neo reports. Arcadie Barbarosie considers that Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubco should make public a report on his earlier statements and present evidence and give names. Prime Minister Vlad Filat demanded initiating the procedure for dismissing the prosecutor general after rendering the Government’s report on the raider attacks on Moldovan banking institutions in Parliament. Acting President Marian Lupu said the real reason for which they seek the dismissal of the prosecutor general is the legal cases against high-ranking officials that are examined by the Prosecutor General’s Office. He instructed Valeriu Zubco to present a report on the illegal activities involving certain politicians.
