Igor Botan: I think we will not experience another constitutional crisis with election of President
“I think we will not experience another constitutional crisis with the election of the head of state and we will have a President the next months at the latest,” political analyst Igor Botan said when presenting the Public Opinion Barometer on November 16, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the analyst, a government coalition will most probably be formed after the elections and there will not be a one-party government. Those who will form the ruling alliance will negotiate the positions in Parliament and the Government and agree the candidates for Prime Minister and the President. “After the elections, things will move slowly, but they will go faster after a government majority is established,” Igor Botan said.
The analyst does not exclude a 50/50 center-left and center-right coalition. “In the present election campaign, we saw that very powerful economic and financial groups are behind the political parties and we don’t know how they negotiate,” Igor Botan said.
