Head of Parliament Igor Corman condemned the acts of violence that happened in the June 3 meeting of the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia. He transmitted a condemnation message from Poland, where he is paying a two-day visit, IPN reports.
According to the Speaker, this reproachable behavior is not proper for those who were elected by the Gagauz people to solve their daily problems.
Igor Corman calls for calm and requests the law enforcement bodies to rapidly investigate this case and to effectively penalize the persons to blame for the happenings. He also calls on the political forces to treat his incident with responsibility and to refrain from exploiting the situation for political purposes.
Altercations between deputies, ordinary people and the administration of the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia occurred on June 3 in Comrat.
