Head of Parliament Igor Corman will make a visit to Bucharest this autumn. The invitation was transmitted to him by the president of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania Valeriu Zgonea, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from Moldova’s Parliament, Igor Corman’s visit to Bucharest will be made in the context of the interparliamentary cooperation between Romania and Moldova.

On July 17, Igor Corman had a meeting with the President of Romania Traian Basescu in Chisinau. He approved of the work of the joint parliamentary Commission for European Integration between the Parliaments of Moldova and Romania and pleaded for strengthening the bilateral cooperation at different levels.

The officials discussed the future ratification by the Romanian authorities of the State Border Regime Treaty between Moldova and Romania, the mutual assistance and cooperation in border-related issues.
