Igor Dodon did not ask for posts for voting in favor of presidential candidature, PDM
The chairman of the Democratic Party (PDM) Marian Lupu said the leader of the Socialists Igor Dodon did not ask for posts in exchange for the three votes needed to vote the President in. “Igor Dodon did not seek posts and this is very honorable of him. This subject wasn’t discussed with the PDM,” Marian Lupu told the reporters, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
The Democratic leader said that earlier they discussed the idea that a balance between the power and the opposition should be established at a number of democratic institutions, like the Central Election Commission and the Audit Office. “These institutions do not form part of the government mechanism. They are democratic and should ensure political and civil balance in society,” said Marian Lupu, adding the offering of posts is not a kind of bargaining.
Recently, the head of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu said that if Igor Dodon gets a post, the Liberals will withdraw from the Alliance for European Integration.
