Igor Dodon is optimistic that the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) will vote for Zinaida Greceanyi if she runs for President. The MP said he communicated with some of the AEI leaders and they confirmed his expectations, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We discussed the possibility of electing the head of state. I saw that there is will to overcome the political crisis. I also saw a clear opinion of those from the alliance and readiness to vote in Zinaida Greceanyi as President. Thus, I’m hopeful that the AEI will vote for Zinaida Greceanyi,” said Igor Dodon. He reiterated that Zinaida Greceanyi is the most suitable candidate for the presidency, but they may also discuss other apolitical candidates proposed by the AEI or the Communist Party. No presidential candidate was registered by the November 14 deadline and thus the elections did not take place on November 18.
