President Igor Dodon said the Independence Day for him is the most important national holiday. “On this day, I usually sum up the results I achieved as the3 Head of State, as a politician and the things I did to strengthen statehood, to consolidate society, to ensure our country’s development,” President Dodon says in a posting on Facebook.
“I know we have a lot of work to do. My major goal is to transform Moldova into an attractive and convenient to live in country, to increase the people’s living standards and to do everything possible to prevent the people from leaving so that they live and work at home, in the native country. I want very much the citizens of this country to be proud of our homeland, Moldova,!” reads the message that is quoted by IPN.
Today the Republic of Moldova celebrates 27 years of the declaration of the country’s independence.
