Aureliu Ciocoi, who is a diplomat by profession, was named adviser to the President on foreign policy matters. President Igor Dodon informed about this on a social networking site.

“He has rich experience in promoting the national interests of the Republic of Moldova both in the East and in the West, which is the country’s benefit,” stated Igor Dodon.

Aureliu Ciocoi served as Moldova’s Ambassador to Germany, China and the United States. He holds the post of ambassador with special missions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova.
