The Communist Party’s candidate for mayor of Chisinau Igor Dodon proposes a series of solutions for improving the situation in the 18 suburbs of the municipality, including extending the trolleybus lines, connecting the settlements to the water supply system, repairing the kindergartens, homes of culture and others, Info-Prim Neo reports. Igor Dodon said a new trolleybus line will be set up, which will connect Chisinau’s quarter Posta Veche and Stauceni village. He promised the streets in Stauceni will be repaired and there will be built a waste sorting and recycling factory that will cover also Cricova, Ciorescu and Gratiesti. In Vadul lui Voda town, there will be developed the recreational area and the infrastructure. The home of culture will be reconstructed, while the beach laid out. In Bacioi, Igor Dodon promised to repair the road that joins Braila, Straisteni and Frumusica. The residents will be connected to the water supply and sewerage system of SA Apa-Canal Chisinau. The kindergarten situated in the center of the village will be fully repaired. In Cricova, the PCRM’s candidate will construct a wastewater treatment station and change the equipment in kindergartens, the Russian language teaching school and “Alexei Mateevici” High School. In Truseni, Igor Dodon pledges to repair the home of culture and build a new water pipe as well as sewerage systems for the education and healthcare institutions. In Vatra, the candidate for mayor will solve the waste collection problem, will build a boiler room for the kindergarten and will reinforce the levee near the Ghidighici Lake. Igor Dodon said some of the politicians, especially Dorin Chirtoaca, remember the suburbs only when they need the people’s votes. “During four years, he did not do much for these suburbs. With this hysteria, the Liberal Party and Mister Chirtoaca try to mislead and manipulate the inhabitants of the suburbs,” he stated. Earlier, Dorin Chirtoaca said that Igor Dodon and his team intend to exclude the suburbs from the municipality. Igor Dodon and Dorin Chirtoaca will contend for the mayoralty of Chisinau in the second round of voting.
