Information about quality of mobile phone services will be made public

The mobile network operators and mobile phone carriers will have to quarterly and annually collect and make public the information about the quality of the services provided for end-users in their commercial offices and on their websites, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Administration Board of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) explained such a decision was taken in order to make sure that the providers respect the end-users’ right to benefit from mobile phone services of a high quality. The mobile network operators and mobile phone carriers will publish the information about the measured indicators according to a standard form approved by the Agency’s Administration Board. The Agency considers that the publication of these indicators will make the providers to take additional measures to improve the quality of the services and will allow the end-users to comparatively analyze the quality of the services furnished by different providers and to choose the carriers that offer the best prices and quality.
