Former minister of youth and sport Ion Cebanu was named as director general of the forestry agency Moldsilva by a Government decision, Info-Prim Neo reports. Prime Minister Vlad Filat said the area of which the new director general is in charge faces different problems that must be dealt with. The decision will be published in the Official Gazette most probably on March 1, when the new director will be officially presented to the staff of Moldsilva. Ion Cebanu is a member of the Liberal Party. In the February 20 meeting of the Government, the proposal of Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Moldovanu to include the appointment of Ion Cebanu as Moldsilva head in the agenda was rejected by Vlad Filat. He argued that the appointments are an exclusive prerogative of the Premier.
