Iskra-Stal regains lead
The last four matches of the tenth stage of the National Division played on Sunday ended with the victory of the hosts, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Iskra-Stal Rybnitsa returned to the top of the rankings after defeating Academia UTM Chisinau by 2-0. The goals for Iskra-Stal were scored by Alexandru Chiciuc, self-goal, and Bogdan Hausi.
Sheriff Tiraspol beat the newly promoted Viitorul Orhei by 3-0. Alexandr Erohin, Vladimir Volkov and Sergio Da Costa scored for the Tiraspol team from Alexandru Suvorov's corners.
St Gheorghe Suruceni won against FC Tiraspol by 2-0 through the goals scored by Dumitru Bogdan and Vadim Cricimari. CSCA-Rapid Ghidighici defeated Nistru Otaci by 1-0 through Alexandru Grosu's goal.
The rankings now look as follows: 1. Iskra-Stal – 24 points (10 matches played), 2. Dacia – 21 (10), 3. Sheriff – 16 (7), 4. CSCA-Rapid – 14 (10), 5. FC Tiraspol – 12 (10), 6. Zimbru – 12 (8), 7. Academia – 12 (9), 8. Olimpia – 11 (8), 9. St Gheorghe – 10 (10), 10. Dinamo – 9 (10), 11. Viitorul – 7 (10), 12. Nistru – 7 (10).
The next stage is scheduled for September 20, when Academia UTM will face Dinamo, Dacia - Iskra-Stal, FC Tiraspol – Olimpia, Viitorul - St Gheorghe, Nistru – Sheriff, while Zimbru - CSCA-Rapid.
